Five kinds of weeds in wheat fields are difficult

Release time:2022-11-21    Hits:645

In the eyes of farmers, herbicides in wheat fields mainly refer to herbicides used to control broadleaf weeds in wheat fields, from dimethyltetrachloride and bensulfuron methyl in the last century to difluoroxadiamide, oxadiazon and chlorofluoropyroxyacetic acid in this century. Up to now, although the resistance of wheat weeds is increasing year by year, they are used to control broadleaf weeds in wheat fields, such as Artemisia annua, shepherd's purse, Veronica, Euphorbia esculenta, Euphorbia oleracea, and thistle, It is still an effective combination of the above herbicides.

Although the dosage, proportion and even the cost of drug use have increased to varying degrees, the farmers' final cost is only about 10 yuan/mu.

The emergence of 5 kinds of weeds in wheat field leads to the soaring cost of medicine, which may also occur in your wheat field

The emergence of the following five kinds of wheat weeds and the formation of drug resistance not only increase the difficulty of farmers in weeding, but also directly raise the grade of herbicides, making farmers' friends' drug costs suddenly increase.

1. Aegilops tauschii

In the Huang Huai Hai winter wheat planting area, Jiejie wheat has become the main gramineous weed in the wheat field. Methyl disulfonate is the only effective herbicide for controlling Jiejie wheat at present. With the increase of registered enterprises of this product, the control cost per mu has also been reduced to 5-8 yuan. However, the use conditions of methyl disulfonate are relatively harsh, and a little carelessness will lead to the potential risk of drug damage.

Methyldisulfuron methyl has significant control effect on Jiejie wheat. Although it has certain control effect on other gramineous weeds or broadleaf weeds, this control effect can be ignored. To control other weeds, it should be used together with other related herbicides.

Because of the high risk of methyl disulfonate application, farmers generally use it alone in practical applications. Therefore, the cost of using it alone and the additional labor cost are typical representatives of increasing farmers' difficulty in weeding and raising the level of herbicides.

2. Bromegrass

3. Wild oats

The reason why these two weeds are put together is that the use of acetochlor to control wild oats in wheat fields has produced different degrees of resistance. In order to increase the control effect and expand the scope of weed killing, the formula of acetochlor+fluzosulfuron has become a popular weed removal combination.

Although this combination can effectively control common gramineous weeds such as bromegrass, wild oats, hard grass, reed grass and damselflies, the cost of application per mu is as high as about 10 yuan, and the control cost of these two herbicides alone catches up with that of broadleaf weeds in wheat fields.

4. Lolium multiflorum

Lolium multiflorum is similar to Aegilops tauschii. With its tenacious vitality and slender shape, it was originally introduced as an ornamental green plant and later spread to the wheat field, becoming a relatively stubborn weed in the wheat field.

The specific herbicide for controlling perennial ryegrass in wheat fields is oxazolin, and the current cost of using it per mu is as high as about 20 yuan.

5. Japanese Kanmai Niang

Japanese Kanmai Niang mainly harms the winter wheat areas on both sides of the Yellow River and the Huaihe River. In recent two years, there has been a trend of northward movement. Although the control of gramineous herbicides in wheat fields has a certain control effect on Japanese Kanmai Niang, the effects are not very satisfactory. At present, the main targeted herbicide is chlorsulfuron, which is mainly produced and sold by foreign companies, and the cost for farmers is about 15 yuan per mu.

Gramineae weeds have become the main weeds in wheat fields, which will be more difficult to control in the future

Gramineae weeds have the characteristics of strong confusion, strong reproductive capacity and easy spread.

They belong to the same family of plants as wheat, and their growth habits are relatively similar (they all go through the vernalization stage), which is also the reason why some herbicides used to control gramineous weeds in wheat fields may cause some drug damage.

Compared with herbicides for controlling broadleaf weeds in wheat fields, gramineous herbicides in wheat fields have the characteristics of simplicity and high cost. The emergence of each single herbicide seems to come with the mission of solving a specific weed. When there are more and more gramineous weeds in wheat fields and more and more varieties, it is often necessary to adopt a variety of herbicides for controlling gramineous weeds for mixing.

If the wheat field is jointly harmed by Aegilops tauschii, bromegrass, wild oats and Lolium multiflorum, farmer friends should mix methyl disulfonate, acetochlor, oxazosulfuron methyl and azolin methyl when applying drugs. Such mixing not only increases the risk of weeding, but also greatly increases the cost of drug use.

As the above gramineous weeds are similar to wheat seedlings in seedling stage, farmers often use a variety of herbicides to achieve better control effect without accurate identification.

For example, in some areas of eastern Henan and northern Anhui, the cost of herbicides for controlling gramineous weeds in wheat fields is more than 30 yuan per mu (excluding the labor cost of successive application), which is far ahead of the cost of controlling broad leaf weeds in wheat fields.

On the premise that there is no substitute product for targeted herbicides, and the resistance of gramineous weeds in wheat fields has increased year by year, there seems to be no good way except to increase the dosage. The result of doing so has promoted the formation of control difficulties and the increase of drug costs again.
